Pension Plan Design and Implementation
401(k) Plans

Designing and implementing a proper retirement program is extremely complex. The professional staff at Pension Plan Designs Inc. helps each client through this process by ensuring that they thoroughly understand the steps involved with maintaining their retirement plan. Our staff:

 

  • Reviews each client's employee situation and tax situation to design a proper retirement strategy.

  • Design a plan that best suits the owner of the company, their employees and the tax benefits of the company.

  • Works closely with a client's accountant to ensure that the proper plan design is in place.

  • We examine all aspects of our clients business to ensure that all related entities are considered when designing the plan.

  • We design and prepare all types of plan documents as required under the law.

  • We use Volume Submitter, as well as Prototype documents.

  • Submit plans for favorable IRS letters of determination.

  • Prepare the Summary Plan Description, as well as all required plan notices as required under the law.

  • DOL Audits

 

401(k) Plan administration

 

  • Calucaltion of eligible employees

  • Designs of traditional 401(k) Plans or safe harbor plans

  • Prepare all appropriate notices as requried for safe harbor plans annually.

  • Coordinate enrollment and administration forms.

  • Calculate the required contribution under the plan each year.

  • Testing for all required commplianceto include IRS Code Section 410 (b) - minimum coverage and participation requirements on an annual basis pursuant to current law.

  • Do all requried discrimination testing pursuatnt to section 401k and (m), if applicable.

  • Test for compliance with annual compensation limits and test annual addition limits for each participant.

  • Preparation of annual valuations

  • Prepartion of Participant Statements

  • Prepare Forms 5500's and required schedules.
